Commissionerate system not to be reversed: Khursheed

SUKKUR: Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said the commissionerate system will not be reversed even if the Muttahida Qaumi Movement rejoins the government.
Talking to the media after laying the foundation stone of the Sukkur Diagnostic Center, he said the present government has fulfilled the demand of the people of Sindh by restoring the commissionerate system.
He said the present government is determined to restrengthen the institutes of the country besides putting an end to corruption and other malpractices. He said the PPP government will complete its five-year term and those who are demanding mid-term elections are living in a heaven of nonsense.
He also regretted the assassination of President of PIA’s People’s Unity Amir Shah in Karachi. Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for law and Parliamentary Affairs Ayaz Soomro has said that the government was striving hard to resolve the problems of the common man on priority basis and 40,000 jobs will be provided to the educated youths in different departments during 2011-12.
He was addressing a lunch hosted in his honour by MPA Ghulam Sarwar Siyal here at the Mud Faridabad village on Sunday. The minister said people of the area are the devoted workers of the PPP and every PPP leader respects them. He reiterated that in the new system, the control of education boards had been shifted from governors to the chief ministers and the provincial government will ensure the promotion of education.
Soomro said with the SSP now being in-charge at the district level and the DIG at the divisional level, the relief and justice will be provided to the people without delay. Later, the minister inaugurated the Tree Plantation Campaign here by planting a tree at the Larkana Bypass Road. The Forest Department officials informed the minister that during the campaign, around 100,000 Neem trees will be planted under President ZardariĆ­s directives in Larkana district.
